Luxury tax @ 8% imposed on hotels.

NOTIFICATION
The 28th November, 2008

            NO. S.O./ P.O. /2008/S.4/2008.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Punjab Tax on Luxuries Ordinance, 2008 (Punjab Ordinance No. 4 of 2008), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to levy with immediate effect the tax at the rate of eight percent ad valorem on all the proprietors of the hotels in respect of luxuries provided by them in the Hotels.

NOTIFICATION
The 28th November, 2008

            NO. S.O. /P.O. /2008/S.5/2008.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Punjab Tax on Luxuries Ordinance, 2008 (Punjab Ordinance No. 4 of 2008), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to levy with immediate effect the tax at the rate of ten percent ad valorem on all the proprietors of the Banquet Halls in respect of luxuries provided by them in the Banquet Halls.
